Why spend a year planning a wedding when you can easily just elope, just the two of you. I got the honor to capture Lankavi and Jesses Elopement at Leo Carrillo beach.
One big tip is to Elope on a weekday - that way you will avoid the big crowds on the beaches.

Getting legally married in malibu
Malibu wedding permits
Some of the locations in Malibu requires you to get a wedding permit, this depends on when you are planning to elope. On the upside many of the beaches in Malibu dont require permits for ceremonies under 25 guests.
Malibu marriage license
The marriage license is what you need to get legally married. The nearest office is in Los Angeles, Its recommended to make an appointment (you can do so up to two weeks in advance) Bring both your photo id´s and the marriage license will be valid for the next 90 days.
Malibu elopement officiant
For the elopement you need an officiant to perform the ceremony and sign the marriage license.
Avoid harsh sunlight for photos, plan your elopement during sunset or sunrise within 3 hours are best.
